brief glimpse of spring weather, then he hits us again with this

The show rules
and regs have been updated by Betty Ann and Swede. The new rules are
now posted on the website. The show booklets have been printed and
will be available at the meeting.
MEDIAN SHOW
- The median show is to
be held Saturday, May 28 at Southgate Mall by the clock. Donna
Dowell is chairperson. She encourages everyone to bring blooms to
show. Set up will be Friday evening at 8 or 8:30, blooms may be
brought at 7:00 a.m., show begins at 10:00 pm. Teardown will be at
6:30 p.m. Saturday.
JUNE SHOW: The June show booklets are now ready and will be
available at the May meeting. The 51st annual show theme is "Ice
Cream Social" and will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Southgate
Mall. Set up will be Friday evening June 10. The awards will be
given at the close of the show. Betty Ann Gustafson is
chairperson.

Missoula Iris Society Minutes
April 2, 2011
Meeting was called to order at the Judy Blunt home with 16 persons
present. Betty Ann Gustafson, the Vice-President was the presiding
officer.
The treasurers report was given with $255.91 reported in the
checking.
Bob Symes reported that the signs for the Gardens have been painted.
Billie Gray called a work party at the Garden for April 10 at 1:00
P.M. The purpose is to clean the beds, rake, and weed with a
general garden clean up. Billie reported that the beds were in
good shape going into the Fall.
Donna Dowell reported on the Median show. A meeting of Donna
Dowell and Betty Ann Gustafson will be held on April 4th to order
ribbons for the Median show.
Swede Gustafson reported that he sent letters to all the judges
asking them to review the hand book. AIS insurance certificate
needs to be delivered to the mall.
Betty Ann Gustafson reported that the June show has been approved.
Lois Rose is the approving AIS officer. There were several changes
in the report. Betty Ann reported the Tall Bearded show will be
held June 11, 2011. Award ceremony will be held at the show at
7:00 P.M.
Jeannette Graham will do a garden judging in the afternoon of the
Show. Alverta Symes reported that she will check all judges
qualifications and what they will need for recertification.
Swede Gustafson reported that he had cleaned all 220 vases. He
stated that he was asking Ann Violette to do Median vases.
Ron Dunn asked if Cleo Swanson could receive the Newsletter by snail
mail. He also stated that she had sent her best wishes.
Betty Ann Gustafson reported that Judy Blunt and Billie Gray will be
on a committee to study the paver issue. Swede Gustafson stated that
the Friends of the Museum at Ft Missoula is having its annual
meeting at April 13 at the Holiday Inn. The cost of the dinner
is $20.00 per person.
Winner of the Presidential Rhizome was Alayne Hilditch.
